Mavi Church — church planting since 2016
We have led this congregation since 2016, when we took it over from a leader who moved to another city. Our focus is simple: a local body of believers who grow in God’s Word and love their neighbors. Follow Mavi Church on Facebook: English and T*ish.
Critical Thinking Aloud — online outreach since 2020
What would the Bible have sounded like to its first readers? Critical Thinking Aloud is the teaching ministry we started in 2020, when COVID-19 moved our outreach online. It helps everyday Christians read Scripture in its ancient Near Eastern context, the world the biblical authors actually lived in.
Shaped by the work of the late Dr. Michael S. Heiser and his book The Unseen Realm, the teachings explore the parts of the Bible many of us skim past: the divine council, the spiritual beings around God’s throne, Eden as the mountain of God, and why the world is the way it is. You will come away loving the Bible more, and understanding Jesus more clearly.
